Concentration Statement
What
is the central idea of your concentration?
The central idea of my concentration is to do
literal translations of sneaker puns. I wanted to play with new types of art,
while doing a play on words.
How
do the pieces in your concentration demonstrate the exploration of your idea?
The pieces in my concentration demonstrate the
unique ways sneakers replace items in everyday life. I liked the idea of making
art that also had a sense of humor behind it. As I created more pieces, my
concentration became more detailed and focused on the sneaker and how common
sayings are actually related to America’s favorite shoe.
